Staff
We are blessed to have a group of committed staff who are toiling hard to take care to teach and to serve the children. Mr. T.O. John continued as the administrative assistant, giving leadership in all activities. This school functioned very well under the able leadership of the Head Master, Mr. Zachariah Thomas. This staff worked together as a "family" towards the goal "Lighted to Lighen."

Rehabilitation Projects
Education of the disabled is never complete unless and until we give proper job-oriented education and rehabilitation. With this aim, we registered a Society SEARCH to undertake rehabilitation projects for these children. Opening of the tailoring institute for girls was the first of our rehabilitation activities. Ten students are studying in the tailoring institute and the institution is functioning well. We were able to start an Industrial Training Center (ITC) for boys at Badiadka. Now the ITC has obtained an affiliation from NCVT. This is a remarkable success in the history of our work in this region.

Mar Thoma Computer Training Center
A full-fledged computer center has also been started as a part of our rehabilitation projects. The STED has granted affiliation for the computer courses. This will help our children to cope with the fast changing culture of the modern times.

We gratefully acknowledge the generosity of Dallas Mar Thoma Church - Farmers Branch for their timely help towards the rehabilitation projects.

Prasanth Home
The aged also are disabled. Our mission must reach them too. It was this kind of concern that prompted us to initiate the work of a home for the aged - The Prasanth Home - at Kadamana. Now we have five inmates.

Hearing Aid Distribution Camp
It was an exceptional achievement of the year for us to have conducted a district level camp for auditory testing and treatment under the auspices of AYJNIHH, Bombay. The director of AYJINIHH, Dr. Nagaraj and District Collector, Mr. P.C. John were the chief guests. 250 free Hearing Aids were distributed to the deserving children.

Speech and Hearing Centre.
The completion of the speech and hearing center is a landmark in the course of our mission at Kasargod. It was a long cherished wish for us. In spite of acute financial constraints, we were able to build a beautiful building with sound treated room to house the Centre , inside the campus. The Centre provides a strong footing fir us since a school for the Hearing impaired is not complete without this. This is the only centre for speech and hearing in this district. We are very much thankful to God for this blessed gift. The Rt. Rev. Joseph Mar Banabas Episcopa blessed and inaugurated the centre on March 30, 2001

The Local Advisory Committee
The veteran Journalist, Mr. K.M. Ahamed, is the president of this committee. Valuable assistance is extended to the school by the participation in all the activities and by creating public interest in the affairs of the children.

Managing Committee:
The Mar Thoma Metropolitan, His Grace Dr. Philipose Mar Chrysostem Mar Thoma is the Patron and Our Beloved Episcopa of the Diocese. The Rt. Rev. Joseph Mar Barnabas Episcopa is the president of the Committee, Rev. Abraham Chacko (Diocesan Secretary), Mr. P.C. John, Mr. C.C. Zachariah, Dr. C.A. Kurien, Dr. Maisy Oommen, Mr. T.O. John, Mr. Jacob John, Mrs. Suseela Roy, Prof. Jacob Mathew, and Rev Eapen Cherian (Manager) are the members. All the policies, programs and projects are devised and carried out according to the deliberations and decisions of the committee.

Thanks
Almighty God guided and blessed us last year. We praise God for all His blessings. We remember all out Sponsors, Donors, and Well-wishers with deep gratitude. Your prayers and whole-hearted cooperation are earnestly requested. We are passing through severe financial constraints, since we have taken up several projects. But we offer these services to those people who have no opportunity to get these services otherwise. We believe that God will open doors to proceed.
